Kendra Christine Snow, 26, pleaded guilty on July 18 to intentionally pointing a powerful green laser at the cockpit of a Sheriff’s helicopter on Nov. 8, 2007, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. The helicopter was flying 500 feet off the ground in Bakersfield and when the light hit it the pilot became disoriented. The pilot and an observer in the helicopter were able to pinpoint the laser as coming from the house of co-defendant Jared James Dooley. Snow’s boyfriend at the time, Dooley later admitted to using the laser and was sentenced to two years in prison on Oct. 10. The green beam that Snow and Dooley used is more powerful and dangerous than the common red beam, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office.
